- Don’t let others deal with the consequences of your failures
- it’s, in some way, indirectly related to taking responsibility and not blaming others for your failures
- I did this a lot during my time in UAE
- I would wake up early to get some work done but by the time the rest of my family wakes up(after around 3 hours), I end up wasting my time on stuff and as a result I don’t feel satisfied with how much I get done so I try to do more work when it’s hard to focus because my family is around me.
- this extremely irritated me and made me wish I was back in Canada so I can do some meaningful work
- unfortunately what I forgot to take into consideration is the priorities I set for myself when I first came to UAE
- I shouldn’t have allowed my work take priority over family when I’m only seeing them for one month every year
- what sucks the most is that I ended up doing no progress with neither
- I rarely ever regret in my life, so it says a lot when I say that I regret trying to do work instead of spending quality time with family especially with Mama who deserves every second of it
