Relationships and Mission Alignment

I wonder about the benefits of being in a relationship with someone who seems lost. There’s nothing more attractive than someone who is on a mission. Wouldn’t a woman want to join and support that mission? Perhaps the goal isn’t just to find someone attractive or with the same interests, but rather to find someone who aligns with your mission, whatever it may be. This concept unleashes the power of collaboration, where one plus one equals three.

When someone is on a significant mission that’s greater than the individual, love becomes essential. By having children, you sustain and continue that mission. Of course, relationships are more complex than just this. But when I look around, I wonder why some people choose their partners. It might sound egotistical, but I feel like many people today enter relationships for the wrong reasons, lacking a well-defined purpose. As a result, they settle for any reason.

The Importance of Purpose

Having someone with a mission beyond themselves provides a deeper connection. It helps steer away from superficial relationships based solely on appearance and lust. This is a significant issue. Relationships based only on physical attraction or immediate gratification can lead to problems like divorce. If your primary impulse is to marry someone just for sexual satisfaction, remember that these needs are constantly changing and never fully satisfied. Problems will arise if that’s the foundation of your relationship. Therefore, a shared mission can mitigate these issues.
