- it doesn’t become cool when everyone around you is speaking a foreign language(their native language) while you have no one who shares your native language

- the other thing to consider is the fact that we’re more than just the languages we speak but we just need SOMETHING to bond over with and language and nationality and culture is the easiest thing because it reveals so much about a person
