- We want our users to have the freedom to cancel, block, or report any user/request anytime.
- But this raises a problem:
- What if people abuse that ability?
- The success rate of a mutual approval of a request to be a hangout should be at least like 90%
- This is a problem that a lot of meetup apps have like:
- tinder (trans story)
- timeleft
- I think if people reach a point where they would abuse that feature, and always use that feature to reveal more personal info of another user then immediately cancel the request or even worse they block them.
- How can this be avoided?
- Shall we look into other apps and what they do? This must be a problem already solved by someone
- I also have to get clear about what really is “Personal info”
- Full name for sure
- before that, only the username is shown
- Social media accounts?
- It’s hard to satisfy everyone’s needs without being flexible
- I know some people would want that info to be public and some wouldn’t.
- Only way to get a clear answer is to get this app actually published and see what the majority, but esp our target audience, would prefer
