- “what if my work ethic is just the same as people around me”
- I had this thought as I woke up
- I’m just at a crossroads between the fact that I’m putting a lot of effort and work and time into all of this:
- now I’m wondering if am I not seeing the results because I’m not working on the right things
- or because it’s going to take time for me to see the results of what I’m doing right now
- that’s the hard thing about entrepreneurship: You have to have this delusional belief that what you’re working on is something that will continue to grow and flourish, despite the world telling you it won’t work. if everyone is telling you it will work, that means that someone else has already done it. That’s the dilemma about building in the tech space. If you’re building something brand new that technology just enabled, then there might be a good chance that only a handful amount of people are thinking like you. But in that case, you’re going against the norms and towards a land that was never explored. the only way to survive in these environments is to have this very big delusional belief that no matter how long it takes for you to succeed, it will eventually happen. And you will continue trying until that moment happens this is why sometimes ignorance is one of the good traits that founders need to have this delusional belief that they can actually make their product work
