What’s the project that you’re most proud of building?
Over this past year, I have spent over 700 hours working on 2 mobile apps—Exo and Orbit, and a couple hundred hours filming, editing, and releasing over 20 videos These 2 open-source applications & community that represents everything that I stand for. For over a year, I’ve been working on using technology to reduce the barrier to human connection. I started off with building an app called Exo that helps people have better conversations with their partners and friends. Then nine months ago, I started working on another app that aims to fight loneliness in university

What’s something unique that you’d bring to the AI Hackathon?
Overcame limiting habits like social anxiety and developed systems for focus, self-awareness, and resilience. Had to learn so much about myself and do a lot of work to break out of those patterns, but it has been incredibly rewarding. It was through that struggle I am able to live a life that I truly enjoy and do work that I deeply found meaning in. It also indirectly led me to start working on Orbit. Just a few weeks ago, I felt a deep sense of self-actualization as I was building and announcing Orbit to the world and getting people excited about it through my YouTube videos (e.g. https://youtu.be/Yv-JSa8N_qU) What I’m trying to say is that everything that I work on is deeply motivated by my past experiences and I use hackathons to reflect back on my struggles in life to find problems that I can solve through AI and technology
What would you like to get out of the AI Hackathon?
There are so many use cases for AI. I would like to explore these different use cases people are discovering. Especially given that we would have sponsors building companies around AI in there. I’m excited to talk to them and build on top of them. Maybe even meet my cofounder in there🤷
