Hey Andrew, first off I wanted to say that I absolutely admire how you spread the idea of Boardy. I love the way you bring a very genuine, authentic, and personal element to everything you do including Boardy and the advice you share in your podcasts and linkedIn posts.
I’ve been building something that aligns with what Boardy is tryna do: Help you find the perfect person to meet up with. I’ve been building an app (Orbit) for the past 9 months. Spent over 300 hours on the codebase and many more designing, researching, testing, validating, etc…
But then I came to the honest realization that what I’m building has somewhat been tried before several times and failed. That made me think that there must be a better solution to loneliness and struggling to find your circle. Whether it’s through finding a friend who shares your ambitions or a partner who brings out the best in you or a co-founder that perfectly complements you.
This is where I thought of the obvious solution: AI
It has never been tried before so I got very excited to validate that idea. So I planned to build a simple version of that idea for the next hackathon I would attend. Fast forward to now. Here’s what I built in LAHacks: https://devpost.com/software/orbit-w84iq1
In there, I got to meet Ishaan who told me about Boardy. I went on a 10 minute call with Boardy and got connected with someone. Waiting on their response to my request.
