I know you mentioned that you are not hiring right now, but I truly believe no one will bring what I can to Mozi, and I can’t stay quiet about that. I’m putting all my cards on the table in this email, and I’ll leave it up to you to decide if and when you’d like me to join.
I’m genuinely so bullish on Mozi. If I had the money, I’d invest in you. Since I don’t (yet), I’m offering the next best thing: my time.
So I’m willing to work completely for free for one full week (10–20 hours). I’m willing to go for longer if you guys need more time. (And just so you know: I’m someone who values and protects my time carefully—so this offer means a lot coming from me.)

TLDR: While your mission is about helping people maintain and strengthen friendships/relationships, Orbit’s mission is to help people make new and better ones—especially those who struggle to find their people. Whether it’s because they’re too shy or they just can’t seem to find the right people they’d like to be surrounded by.
My hope is you’d notice how deeply I care about helping people build better & stronger relationships and the extend I’m willing to go to fulfill that mission. I’ve spent 600+ hours coding, and 60+ hours researching, testing, interviewing, and learning—all in the past year and all of it is open-source.
All I ask is this:
- Watch the Orbit manifesto video. And if you think it would resonate with Ed and Molly, I’d be incredibly grateful if you could pass the video/email along.
- Whenever they’re ready to bring someone on, even if just for a trial week, I’m ready to get to work and contribute however I can.
