We went to a restaurant called Au Liban where there was 2 chicken meals. One for 21 and the other for 36. We obviously picked the 21. Food came and we immediately started eating.
When we received the receipt, we saw that we got changed for the 36 one. When we asked the waitress, she was confused because she thought we picked the 36 one when in reality we were confident that we picked the 21 one.
She leaves for a few minutes then comes back with our hummus takeout and tells us that she’ll get us the new receipt.
At this point everything seemed to work out fine, but then, Laeek decides to be curious and ask the waitress a stupid question that we already know the answer to. “So did we order the wrong thing?” NO, WE KNOW THAT SHE ORDERED THE WRONG MEAL FOR US
In her response to Laeek, she mentions that she will pay the difference and she’ll get us the correct receipt
Bombaclat Laeek had no reaction to that but Nabil and I did. We were feeling guilty but Bombaclat Laeek was just confused.
We tell Laeek what she said and then we all panic together, not sure of what to do in this awkward situation
My thought process
I would’ve definitely just payed the previous receipt but I didn’t I didn’t have any respect for her. I didn’t feel any sort of kindness or genuinely through her service. In addition to that, she’s not Lebanese and the whole restaurant didn’t seem Lebanese AND the meat ain’t halal which makes me conclude that the owner is probably not Muslim as well
All these reasons demotivated me from paying extra
