spent half the flight listening to As Long As The Lemon Trees Grow and the other half trying to fall asleep but all I was able to get is light sleep (aka: aware of my surroundings)
-
I had 2 coffees tho so hopefully that keeps me alive
-
Experienced the smoothest landing of all time. Big difference compared to the flair flight on the First day in Halifax
- For that reason, I had to go up to them and complement their landing
-
Everyone I approached is so friendly. As soon as i approach them, their whole attention shifts to me
-
1-2 hours in, I just spent it walking (was fun, but I couldn’t get started with anything coz everything was closed). I started feeling hopeless as a result. Am I gonna waste this opportunity to explore a city??
-
I wanted to get into a cruise tour and get a bike rental but I couldn’t find a place that was open, this was when my curious eyes stumbled upon “bike rental” written in a wall. I looked around but saw nothing related to bike rentals
-
after eventually finding some sort of opening I can put my hopes in, I get welcomed with an underground tunnel where, by the end of it, you can see a crowd of bikes waiting to be used.
-
I desperately get one, whatever it costs I was going for it. €9.5 + 150 deposit

And that was when I knew that I have made an amazing decision by coming to Amsterdam for 10 hours. It was so fun and I didn’t seem to get bored of it. It was the opposite actually. The more I got to ride different roads and neighborhoods, the more I fell in love with the city and authentic and historic culture. All the buildings remained the same for the past half millennium🤯

As I was about to sit in one of the desks beside the gate for my flight to Berlin and then I noticed that the dude sitting to the left of me was on slack which was cool to see coz it means there’s a good chance he’s also in tech. But then, using my superhuman low-light vision eyes, I saw the Miro logo where IBM usually is located at, so that meant one thing… So I of course talked to him
-
Never knew Miro was based in Amsterdam. And that they actually were a video game company 15 years but now converted the backend for that to use that old game’s engine for a lot of features in Miro like the collaboration
Berlin
